European Athletics - UNESCO Forum
This year's edition of the European Athletics Championship, in Barcelona, from 27 July to 1 August, was accompanied by a forum on how to develop the next generation of leaders in the sport of athletics. IASN secretary
general Rosarita Cuccoli spoke about the contribution of the sports press in creating tomorrow's leaders through sport. Speakers also included Olympic champions Sergey Bubka, Steve Cram, and Gabriela Szabo.
Gazzetta dello Sport for technology in football
La Gazzetta dello Sport has lead an international initiative encouraging FIFA to consider the introduction of technology in football, further to refereeing errors at the latest FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Marca in Spain and Gazeta Sporturilor in Romania, both members of the IASN, were among the sports newspapers that adhered to the initiative.
Gazeta Sporturilor 3D edition
IASN member in Romania Gazeta Sporturilor was the first newspaper in the country to print a 3D edition, last July 1st.
